Research tells us that creative expression has a part in healing and wellbeing.  Join us for a 3-part online course where we explore our relationship with wildlife and nature through mindful sketch journaling and its connection to our emotions and mind.

No artistic experience is necessary! We will grow our skills together.

Each course will be a maximum of 20 wildlife volunteers so we can allow for a more individual experience.

About the Course

Note: Course 1 and 2 are now fully booked. We are currently organising more course dates – if you are interested, please submit an Expression of Interest below.

As wildlife volunteers we are often having interactions with wildlife which may, over time, mean we need to re-connect with the joy of noticing their uniqueness, and the inspiring beauty and wonderment of their natural environment.

The last 18 months have been particularly challenging, and this course is an invitation for us to take a moment to breathe.

Understand the role of creative expression in the way emotions and the mind works. Find out why mindfulness – purposely bringing your attention to the present moment – plus immersion in nature plus creative expression are important for your wellbeing and recovery (read more about this here).

Two Green Threads has partnered with NatureArt Lab for a special wildlife and nature journaling course – free for wildlife volunteers.

You don’t have to be able to draw! Your skills of observation and appreciation for our natural environment will be nurtured – a reminder of the bigger picture in a smaller frame that you experience as a wildlife volunteer.

A wildlife and nature journaling kit with essential supplies to get you started will be provided to registered participants prior to the course.
